Bonefish Grill Unveiled

Recently, I had the opportunity to dine at the new renovated Bonefish Grill in Belleair Bluffs. My husband and I made a reservation for a Tuesday evening and enjoyed a meal and dining experience that went above and beyond.

The decor and ambiance of this location is very warm and inviting. Beautiful wood floors, soft lighting, and a beautiful center wall that divides the dining area from the bar.

It was actually very difficult to decide what to have. They regular menu has so many delicious choices, in addition to their daily specials. On Tuesdays they have Hooked On Tuesday which offers the choice of a salad, entree, and dessert. It was a difficult decision but we both ordered from the regular menu.

I ordered a glass of Moscato and our server, Charles, recommended I try the Beringer White Zinfandel as it had a sweet flavor similar to Moscato. Always open to suggestions for new wines to try, I am glad he made this recommendation. It was delicious and sweet just as he said. Paired with the fresh bread and olive oil pesto, it was perfection.

We started with one of their Signature Starters, likely what they are known most for…. Bang Bang Shrimp.  It is a heavenly dish of crispy breaded shrimp in a spicy cream sauce served over lettuce. We both love shrimp and agreed that this was AMAZING.

My husband ordered filet mignon and grilled shrimp. The wood-grilled flavor of both was a wonderful touch and the texture of the steak was perfect and cooked to his liking. Paired with broccoli and their seasonal vegetables which was zucchini and red pepper with parmesan.

I enjoyed the Tilapia Imperial which was stuffed with shrimp, scallops, crabmeat and topped with lemon caper butter with a side of mashed potatoes. It was so full of flavor and the lemon caper butter was the perfect topping. I also had the seasonal vegetables.

We were incredibly full after such an amazing dinner, so we ordered doughnuts to take home with us. They are served warm, tossed in cinnamon sugar and served with sea salt caramel and chocolate sauce on the side for dipping. Heavenly is the best way to describe them, especially with the sea salt caramel.

The presentation of the food is as big a part of the dining experience. The server was very descriptive in his serving the food and making recommendations. The manager made his way around the dining room, stopping at tables to check on patrons. All in all it was a wonderful dinner and we will definitely go back again.

You can browse the menu, daily special, and drink selections on their website.
